The easiest fingerless gloves knitting pattern

These fingerless gloves knitting pattern is quite easy but makes stylish fingerless gloves.

Step 1: Arrange required materials

You need one pair size 7 or 8 knitting needles, medium weight yarn and one common needle for sewing.

Step 2: Cast Stitches

Take one knitting needle and cast 24 or 28 stitches depending on the size of the hand. The first stitch should be a slip knot.

Step 3:  Knitting the rows

The first four rows of fingerless gloves knitting pattern are called ribbing. Knit one stitch and then take the yarn from back to front; purl another one and then take the yarn from front to back. If you end up with a purl stitch, repeat the above mentioned process, for 3 more rows. In case you end up with a knit stitch, purl once and knit once. Do this for the entire second row. Continue this alternative knitting and purling up to row 4.

From row 5 till row 27, do one row complete knitting and one row complete purling alternately. Purl row 28 and at the end, cast 5 stitches. Knit row 29 completely and at the end, cast again 5 stitches. This alternate process should continue till row 33.

For row 34, cast 5 stitches and then purl all along. For row 35, cast 5 stitches and then knit all along. Repeat this alternate process till row 40. For rows 41 to 45, repeat the ribbing pattern again. Do this till row 52. Cast the stitches.

Step 4: Sewing

The last step of fingerless gloves knitting pattern is sewing the edges using the left tail of the yarn.
